across some family history submitted by you. I thought you might like
some additional information. John Wilson McRaven (son of Joseph Andrew
McRaven and Lucinda Mcreed Henderson) had a sister. Ellen McRaven (my
great great grandmother) was born in Hinds county Mississippi 1832 and
married Thomas C. Charles on Oct. 24, 1848. Thomas and Ellen had three
children Thomas Joe, William (my great grandfather) and Mary Ellen.
Ellen died in San Francisco Feb. 1863.

My name is Carole Alex and I am just starting out in genealogy. I had
much of the information for my mother, but did not know Ellen's brother
or the siblings of James Jr.

Thelma Annette MCRAVEN ALSO MCCRAVIN⁽²⁹⁾ was born on 22 Dec 1909. She died on 2 Jul 2000 in Batesville, MS. Margaret Ellen called early this morning (Sunday) and reported that her
mother passed away at 3:30 a.m. You saw her hopeless condition when you
visited her several months ago. Her health had continued to deteriorate to
the point where she was unable to communicate and was confined to her
hospital bed (at home). We all hate to see her go, but know that she is now
much better off.

No funeral arrangements have been made at this time (4 p.m.), but M.E.
is to call us after they are finalized. The holiday will probably be a big
factor in completing the arrangements, so I would not be surprised for it to
be on Tuesday.
