He had worked at Pacific Press and retired as a farmer in Wabash County.

He was a member of the Nye Chapel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are eight daughters, Wilma Brown of O’Fallon, Esther Youngman of Sterling, Colo., Lois Houchins of Grand Junction, Colo., Mary Peach, Jean McCaw and Kay Linxwiler, all of Mount Carmel, Loree Barber of Princeton, Ill., and Beverly Hardin of Evansville; four sons, Floyd, Loren, Lloyd and Don Deisher, all of Mount Carmel; a sister, Pearl Hall of West Salem; 39 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. His wife, Gladys (Miller), died in 1987 and a daughter, Betty Stoltz, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Short Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
